After expanding their bargains with Red Bull and Toro Rosso honda will continue to supply engines into the new age of 2021 of Formula 1.
Fresh from the manufacturers third win of the season with Red Bull in Brazil – a race in – the manufacturer has confirmed extensions with both groups.
When fresh sporting and technical regulations are being introduced to reduce prices and make the game more competitive honda was known to be mulling its F1 future in recent months before the sport launch in 2021.
The V6 turbo engines that are departing are remaining in place.
Hondas first season with Red Bull has shown that the success with all the venture making strides in reliability and motor strength relative to Ferrari and Mercedes and winning races in Brazil, Germany and Austria.
The results are a far cry from Honda reunion with McLaren at 2015-2017. Returning to F1 after six months away, the McLaren-Honda venture failed to succeed with the versions of the hybrid turbo engine proving undependable and uncompetitive of the latter.
A split watched before incorporating the team in effective works standing this season to their supply chain, Honda team up with Toro Rosso, Red Bulls junior team.
The GP was the very first time automobiles had finished in second and first places of a race since 1991.
