Roy Keane has reignited a feud with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The former Republic of Ireland midfielder appeared in 13 Premier League seasons under Ferguson but the pair haven’t seen eye-to-eye following Keane’s acrimonious Old Trafford departure in 2005.
Keane said:”I would not forgive Ferguson. The press spin I upset everyone, it was all nonsense.
“People speak about Ferguson’s man-management. Nonsense. Folks said he always had the best interests of Manchester United in mind.”
The 48-year-old also thinks Ferguson handed his family too big a part at the center, branding his son Darren as”blessed” to get a Premier League winners’ trophy in 1992/93 before Keane arrived in the club.
Keane added:”Darren Ferguson [his son] won a medal. He was very lucky.
“His brother was the primary scout for Manchester United for quite a lengthy time. I am surprised his wife wasn’t involved from the staff somewhere.
“Darren has been [the supervisor ] at Preston North End and lost his own job. He had a few players on loan from Manchester United. What happens?
“They’re pulled out of Preston. Is that currently doing the very best for Manchester United? Do me a favor.”
Keane also became a pioneer for the team following the retirement in 1997 of Eric Cantona and totalled almost 500 appearances, however revealed he was disappointed by the treatment of a throughout his time.
He added:”People discuss Ferguson’s man-management, don’t be kidded on by all of it.
“I was at the club if Bryan Robson abandoned, when Steve Bruce left, two magnificent servants for Manchester United. And I did not enjoy the way they were treated”
